The Learning Series — We attract our relationships at the same level of woundedness
‘We attract our relationships at the same level of woundedness’. I read this when I had just left my marriage and was trying to make peace with all that was in the past. I then realised that what I had attracted was a co-dependent relationship and that it stopped working when I no longer wanted to play my assigned role. It was this message that had me realise that before I could experience love, joy and peace … I would have to do this by first loving myself, by honoring my feelings, taking loving care of myself and to not be addicted to making anyone else responsible for my worth and for my happiness and to not be addicted to the caretaking of others.
